Caipirinha
- 2 fluid ounces of cachaça
- 1 lime
- ⅓ fluid ounce (2 teaspoons) of demerara gum syrup or 2 teaspoons (8 grams) of demerara sugar
Muddle the sugar or syrup with the quartered lime in lowball glass, until the lime is juiced. Add the cachaça and cubed ice and stir until mixed. Garnish with a wedge of lime.
This drink comes from Brazil and uses the Brazilian spirit, cachaça.
